Pre-Cronkite News
My Role
Multimedia Journalist; Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication
As a multimedia journalist, I produced a video package on Heart & Soil People's Garden, reporting on community gardening and sustainable living for a Phoenix audience. I shot and logged extensive B-roll, conducted and edited interviews with a volunteer, a member and the founder/CEO, and wrote and voiced the script. I reported over two consecutive mornings to capture both leadership perspective and one of their Community Grow Day events, working independently under deadline. I used Adobe Premiere Pro for editing.
Video Package on Catfest at the Mesa Historical Museum
My Role
Multimedia Journalist; Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication
As a multimedia journalist, I produced a video package on Catfest at the Mesa Historical Museum, covering a community event with more than 60 vendors and over 1,000 attendees. I coordinated with the museum curator weeks in advance, researched the event and arrived early to secure interviews with the curator, a speaker and a cat rescue owner before peak crowds. I captured wide-ranging B-roll of vendors, cats, visitors and programming and wrote and edited the package under deadline.
Video Package about 2026 ASU Baseball Standout Cole Carlon
My Role
Multimedia Journalist; Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication
I served as the multimedia journalist on a video package about 2026 ASU baseball standout Cole Carlon, profiling his hometown roots and season goals. I pitched the story, secured access to Arizona State's scrimmage and coordinated interviews with Carlon and his mother despite limited team availability. I shot all video, captured b-roll at practice and conducted on-camera interviews, then edited the package in Adobe Premiere under deadline. The project demonstrates my ability to report, shoot and deliver a polished sports feature independently.
My Role
Multimedia Journalist; Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication
As a multimedia journalist, I produced a video package examining what drives South Mountain Community College Sports Information Director Geoff Herberg to maintain a high-performing athletic department at a small school. I reported, shot and edited the piece on deadline, utilizing field interviews, B-roll footage and archival footage to demonstrate how Herberg's presence enhances South Mountain coaches' ability to prepare athletes for four-year universities. I coordinated access with the athletics office, structured the narrative around his daily workflow and edited in Adobe Premiere Pro.
